Is anyone doing B pics? Where are you getting your lingerie from?

I usually have luck at Lane Bryant. FH loves there stuff and it is comfortable. With their coupons it is nto too expensive either and you can catch sales on it too~!

I've never bought lingerie from them before but you can check out yandy.com. I've also gotten a few baby dolls at VS before.

I bought my strapless at Soma in RFM-I used to work there and I found one I liked and bought like 4 of them. I am going to wear that.

I also recommend Georgettes in Hicksville.

Honestly, I got my strapless bra for $16.99 at Target! It has the double strap support (around the back) and is full coverage. Comes in a variety of sizes as well.Strapless Bra

Where are you getting your dress from because I'm getting mine from Bridal Reflections and they gave me a bra to try on that was pretty good but pricey. Was wondering if i'll find anything better at Mary's

I am 40 ddd and I will never fit into a target bra. Haven't since probably the beginning of high school. Try blums in patchogue or even lane bryant. If you need real support n youre larger than a dd, then target is not going to cut it lol. Hth!

I have struggled for years to find attractive lingerie in my size. Major chains like Victoria's Secret and even Soma would never dream of carrying my size (30F), and local stores like Blum's never seem to have anything that suits my taste.

If you have a good idea of what your size is, there is a British company called Bravissimo (Bravissimo.com I think) that carries such a wide range of larger cup sizes at all sorts of band sizes. Also nearly all of their strapless come with detachable straps, and ALL of their bras have fully adjustable straps. I HATE when they only adjust half way and can never get a good fit!

Bravissimo has lots of cute designs with lots of reviews to help you with ordering - also if you need to exchange anything for any reason (size, design, uncomfortable, etc.) they will do free shipping on their part, so you would only need to pay to have the returned merchandise sent back.

I just went to Georgette's in Hicksville. I heard from a few people that it was a good place to go for a corset because the ladies there really know how to get you the best fit and support.

When I walked in I wondered if I was in the right place because it looked like the kind of store a 70 year old lady might go for a bra, but the lady behind the counter knew my size by just looking at me and got me in a corset that was long, held up my girls and gave me the hourglass figure I was looking for.

I highly recommend going there, but don't expect to walk into a sexy lingerie store. It is old-fashioned but she knows what she is talking about. The cost was about $55 dollars.

Who do you think is better Mary's or Georgette's?

Marys has sewing machines in the store and can do alterations in store. I went to both and prefer Marys for specialty bras and Georgettes for everyday bras.

Hi all. I am looking for dress shopping recommendations. Which salons have the biggest selection of plus size dresses? How has it been trying on samples?

They will squeeze you into a size 10... they just dont close the back.

how long does it take to get a corset/long bra from marys? do they do it in one day? I want to wait till last minute for my first fitting if possible...

I just got my corset from Mary's and since the store wasn't busy she did the alterations while I waited but normally they said it takes just a couple of days.

As far as dress shopping I went to RK Bridal and Kleinfeld's and they had plenty of dresses to try on. Bridal Reflections had little to none

I made some appointments next week - I'm going to RK Bridal (Manhattan), Monicas Bridal (Brooklyn), and Lillettes. Any thoughts/advice on these stores?

I'm not sure what sizing you need but when I called Lillettes she said she only had a small selection of larger dresses, like 3 or 4. I've heard good things about RK Bridal though!

I went to Macys and Bridal Suite of Centereach (I worked with Mary who was SO nice and helpful and they had a really good selection. Probably about 20 dresses? and in different styles too)
