So future hubby and I have 3, yes 3, back to back DJ appointments tonight. I think we're nuts! But all in all excited to get some quotes. Wish us luck!
Btw, if you decided on a DJ or a Band how did you make that decision? I seem to be sort of up in the air! Im wondering if our venue isnt a DJ sort of setting!

basically, i did my research. i did a search on here to find questions to ask the DJ and I looked up reviews. So basically, I knew who I wanted going in, but still found out prices of competitors because you should always try to get them to lower the price.. even if its by $100. While at the appts I watched clips of different parties and the different DJs but ended up picking the person we met with because I felt comfortable with him. HTH!

We met with someone last night. and I have quotes on here from other DJ's.
Basically, the one we met last night is about $250 more than others. However, what has me wanting to book him is the fact that he was recommended to me twice. Once by my photographer and once by a friend of mine who's wedding I went to so I was able to see him do a wedding. That is all worth the extra $250 to me.

it was simple... DJ was cheaper LOL
But in all honesty, I would have picked a DJ anyways. Not that I have anything against bands, I just prefer hearing the original version of a song as opposed to a band singing a cover. You could always get a DJ and add in live musicians, like a percussionist - I actually think it's pretty cool when that's done.
