a non-lame wedding band

my fiancee and i have a bit of a problem. our mothers envision a day filled with rod stewart and jim brickman tunes, but we would much rather hear wilco and clem snide (our wedding song is actually a clem snide song).

do you know any bands that can play the classic wedding fare and also throw in a few indie rock tunes?

thanks!

Timepiece, a Franklin Wayne Band has great variety, they have 5 fabulous singers and seem to be able to play it all

Defianatley check out my band

They played everything from Elvis and Earth, Wind and Fire to Green Day and Alicia Keys. And every song sounded like the CD. They also did an acoustic set on breaks!

We are using renegade they are part of liparamount..they do it all and sound just like the band that sang the original...Code Blue is also very good I saw them at a wedding.

I had Niteflight. They were my most favorite vendor. They are 9pcs and fabulous with 5 singers. They did so many of my requests. Definitely worth a look. They showcase and play clubs and are not lame at all (I know what you mean.)
