A not so Merry Christmas for my SIL....

My SIL was on the phone last night with her mother in Florida. Her mother said suddenly 'I don't feel good' and my SIL heard a thud. She died instantly from a massive heart attack. Her birthday was on Tuesday - she would have been 79.

My SIL is a mess. I almost fell apart when she told me that finally her mother would be with her on Christmas (they are shipping her up here for the funeral). I feel so terrible

Thank you so much everyone. I've only met the woman about 3x but she was always very sweet and I know she loved my SIL & nieces to pieces. My SIL is agonizing because a few months ago she was begging SIL to let her move in with her but since she had no $$$ to come up from FL and SIL had no $$$ to send down to get her here, it never came to be.

It really makes you think about how quickly life can just slip away from you and how we focus so much attention on the 'crap' in our life. It's so not worth it. All these little things that we make priorities - what matter does it make?

So sad...
