A Personal Question

I already booked my florist for the day but feel I may have gone over my initil budget and am considering opting for not having floral centerpieces at all...

Just wondering-i know everyone is completely different---

For those of you who have gone iwth floral centerpieces for RH how much have you spent on flowers?

Any girls who didnt use flowers for centerpieces? What did you use? And what was the cost? Did you DIY or use a florist/designer for it?

Thanks girls!!!

Re: A Personal Question

I'm doing candles. I'm in the process of looking for bulk candle suppliers. Than I'm buying a few cases of different sizes. 3 for each table on a round mirror. Whatever I have leftover I'll burn in the house.

i always thought cp flowers were a waste and wanted something different... bc of my beach theme, im actually doing beachy birdhouses with either laterns or sand/shell filled bowls with candles on either side... your hall should be in charge of setting it up... if not, you can put someone in charge of it or if you have a coordinator, she can do this for you too

we went to a wedding where they had lanterns on the tables - they were really cool.....

candles are ALWAYS nice

there are lots of things you can do to save money - you just need to figre out a way to have them set up

I am not doing floral CPs they are candles....Pics in my album. I am having the florists do them though cause I really can worry about doing them myself and worrying the day of and who will set them up. THey were still not bad priced with the florist and I probably couldn't do them much cheaper

Do you mind FMing me where you're getting them done? Those look really pretty, and I'd love to do something like them.

TIA!

My cousin had a seashell themed for his wedding and his CP were gorgeous. He had a mirror with a fishbowl and 2 live fishes (the color of the wedding) swimming around. Then real seashells around the mirror, I can try to find pics if you'd like. It looked gorgeous.

Re: A Personal Question

i'm not doing floral CPs to cut cost. although they will add a lot to the tables - it'll be only looked at a few times during the whole thing. and they'll jus die the next day or so...

so fh and i decided to do a line of tealight votives ranging from differenctsizes. we got about 120 of tealight candles and votives and it costs us about $102 -- we got it all from IKEA. and its totally worth it. if you think about it the flowers will be thrown away and so will the candles but at least i wont be throwing more than $102 away. HTH!

Re: A Personal Question

I had my florist make up each centerpiece as 6 individually wrapped mini arrangements - but all in one vase so it looked like 1 arrangement.. then at the end, every couple got a bunch in addition to their favors. I had also purchased vase-shaped cello bags so the wet stems would be contained. Those were only about $55-60 each table.

Re: A Personal Question

I opted to forego floral CPs, and am using hurricane goblets instead. They come in sets of 3, and each set, while not on sale, are $20 each at BBB or Dillards. I got them on sale for $12 a set, and after Christmas the red ones were marked down even further to $6 per set

The red ones are currently gone, because it's not holiday season I guess, but clear and amber are still available. Pics are in my flower ideas album if you want to see.

Re: A Personal Question

I have the same ones as Ali in amber... they are SOO pretty even if you pay the full price of $20 they are well worth it. Ill post pics of the amber ones later

Re: A Personal Question

I was thinking of edible CPs. I have to find the website. But, you know where they do fresh fruit and chocolates and make them almost look like flowers.

Re: A Personal Question

Go to Save-on-crafts . com

They have candles, vases, mirrors...all that suff at a really good price.

I am getting married on the beach in September and I didn't want flower CP's, so I bought a beautiful vase ($3.99 each), sand ($2.99 for a 2 lb bag), 6' Ivory Pillar Candle (2 for $6.00) and seashells ($9.69 for a 2 lb bag).

If you are looking to do something different and save money def. visit that website.
