So...you've all heard the stories about the FILs. (By this I mean FH's entire family, not counting his dad and brother...the extended ones are kinda wacky too)
And yesterday I posted about how his aunt deliberately spilled the beans about my shower date. (b!tch.)
Well.
No one in his family knows about my tattoos, aside from his brother and a few younger cousins.
I think they've caught a glimpse at the one on my arm, but definitely not the one on my calf.
Originally, I was going to keep my tats under wraps for the shower. (I also didn't think my shower would be so late in the game...apparently my PJ tour screwed things up? LOL)
It's going to be warm this weekend (and SUNNY for all of our brides!!!)
Shall I expose the tat by wearing a sundress, thus giving them a silent middle finger?
They'll see it at some point anyway.
Did I mention that his mother told me the other day that she expected me to live with her for a week after we're married so I can 'learn how to be a good wife'? (I said 'I don't think so, Tim' like Al from Tool Time LOL)

honestly, if his family is katty...i wouldnt want to show them yet
keep them under wraps for the shower. make sure everyone comes to the wedding and writes out a card!! and then at the wedding you can SHOW EM OFFFF

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE!!!
my fh's mother hates my tattoos and at one point called em a circus freak.
i cant wait til we have kids, so i can tattoo there names on me and hear the comments.
she keeps asking me when i plan to 'remove' them, or if i plan to cover them.
i'm not. i get comments from my own parents, don't need his doing the same thing. \

I have one on my shoulder, and one on my ankle. The one on the ankle is cute and little (a rose), and the one on the shoulder is bigger and black (tribal butterfly).
FH's snooty family has seen them, and I don't care. None have made comments, and if they did, I really wouldn't care.
Wear the sundress!

Good question! I think I'm with the few who say wait. Were you originally going to cover them until the inappropriate aunt thing? I'm all for rocking the boat, but when the time is right. I think they're creating enough drama for now. No need to add to your stress level...and you know it will. Wait until there's a ring on your finger and then you can tell them all to go scratch!
