A question about moving stuff...

All our little boxes are moved into the new apartment. We're just waiting to move the big furniture out of FH's apartment.

I'm wondering what we need to rent.

We have:

Queen size mattress and frame (the metal frame kind not a big ol wood type frame or anything)

1 regular side couch - not love seat.

A recliner.

2 TV stands ... the kind that is like this for maybe like 30' inch tv.


(not very big)

1 tall book case.
1 short bookcase.

computer desk.






we have more, like the TVs, coffee table, etc. that i want to just have FH bring on their own seperately on his way to work or whatever because they're glass and i dont feel comfortable having them in a moving truck.



Do weed a moving truck... i.e. like this:




Or can we get away with like a cargo van or long pickup truck?


The mileage cost for a 'moving truck' is 1.89 a mile compared to .99 a mile for a pickup truck.


Thoughts?

I'd rent a truck from lowes, they're cheaper and you can fit a shitt load in them.

I have a pick up truck, with a short bed. I've transported couches a few times, my own and my brothers. I'm sure you could move everything in just a pick up, but you'd have to make a few trips.

the uhaul will fit everything, but will be a little pricier.

as for the glass... wrap them in an old blanket.. they'll be fine. i've done that a few times.
