A question for all my lawyer ladies

I originally was having my makeup done by one person who I signed a contract with months ago. Due to certain circumstances she had to pass the job over to another makeup artist who works as her assistant. Here's the question....


1. Is the original contract with the MUA still valid, or do I have to have another contract made up for the other artist.

I just want to make sure that I cover my boundries.

i would get another contract with the new artist. i doubt that the contract you have with your current makeup artist has an 'assignment' clause in it so technically there is no way for the agreement to be 'assigned' to another party.

i would also get something in writing from your current MUA stating that she is passing you off to the new person - something as simple as an email would be sufficient - doesn't have to be a formal signed document, but it's really up to you.
