Does anyone know about how many songs would you give a band for your playlist? Our band is scheduled to play for the 4hour reception and told us to send them a playlist. Just curious because I don't want to over/underload them. (they have a list of songs they can play), but we want ot make sure they play all the stuff we want to hear.

Re: a question for anyone with a band......
we gave some specifics on what we definitely did or did not want to hear, but we did not supply an entire play list.

Neither did we just what we really wanted to hear. Did you ask them for their play list. We did, then sent them back DO NOT plays, first dance, anniversary dance etc!

Re: a question for anyone with a band......
I don't play on making an entire song list. My band sent me a play list and I am going to let them know our first dance, cake cutting, last dance songs and things like that, plus types of music we love and songs we don't want to here. But I trust there judgment to feel the crowd and play around that. Ask for a song list and start from there.

We did not supply them with a play list either. They supplied us with their song list and we just gave them back a do not play list with our special dance song choices. We also trusted them enough to feel the crowd out and to decide what to play when. We wanted them to have fun too!
