He dosen't care. Does it really sound like I want BYC? I was really trying to just work it out. Getting the most for my $$ I guess. I love SMCC. I just feel like BYC is 12 min. from my house and I'm getting so much more even though i'm loosing $1000.00 dollars.

No. When I was prego and we were gonna cancel the wedding they told us we could use the $$ for another occasion. But after i missed we decided to just keep everything the same. I'm gonna have to read that post bc I didn't mean for it to sound like BYC. I thought it was more a give and take kind of thing. Like 600 saved but now need an arch.

I would probably sleep on it to see what makes you feel right.
Personally, I would probably leave it at SMCC but please do what feels right for you.

I would go with whatever hall you will feel the most comfortable with...why don't you go back to the SMCC and tell them that you had another 'offer' and perhaps they can give you a better deal.

maybe go back to SMCC and see how you feel walking in there again. I looked there and I loved the decor- the wood beams, the fireplace- very romantic feel. Maybe being at beaviss80's wedding gave you a great feel b/c you were at a friend's wedding and it could have just made you a little more anxious for your own.
I think you should definitely sleep on it and maybe pay both halls a visit again and then just go with whichever one gives you a better vibe.

oooooooh.....this is a tough one! well, you have to do what would make you happiest without regrets. If you make the changes will you constantly be thinking about the original plan? Or...if you don't will you be wondering what it could have been like at BYC? Take a few minutes to sit and close your eyes...where do you see yourself the most happy and comfortable that day??

What was your initial gut response? When you first saw BYC did you instantly want your wedding there? I have never been to either, but I agree the post sounds like you really want BYC. Good luck with your decision.

Hey you!! You know my situation so I know how you feel. If only you would not have looked at that folder right. But anyway I would def think out everything and then go with what your heart is telling you. It never lies. It seems as though with the first hall you booked you have to do alot. Supply your own alcohol that's a bit much with everything else you are trying to do. See if the money will really be missed or if the other choice accounts for it.

I think you should go where your heart leads you and it seems the the BYC is the place!!! and its a morning thing it sounds sooo nice! and it sounds like you had a blast at Michelles wedding! the pictures you posted fromt here were great! and you can use her ARCH! hahah and my mom makes wedding cakes she can do anything you want and wouldnt be that expensive due to her being my mom!

Personally, I'm not a brunch fan, so I would stick with what you already have. Don't make any changes. If something goes wrong after you change everything, you'll always wonder what would have happened if you stuck with your original plan (that was the advice my FH gave me when I was considering not booking MY dream place to save a little money). I say, stay with your original place!

Supplying alcohol is BIG...what if you do't get enough? What if you forget something? I don't know...I think that based on what you've told us, BYC is giving you MORE for less. Granted you have to get an arch [but someone just offered a new one for free] and you'll need a cake...but it might be more fun to pick out all the details yourself..generally with hall provided cakes, you get limited input. I don't think it was a mistake to read that folder. You learned something valuable. Go back to both places during the week when it isn't decorated fora wedding and see what they are like...that might help as well. And personally, I think the idea of a brunch is amazing fora wedding...it's always a 'dinner' at 3 pm and I am usually starving afterwards but thinking I'm nuts b/c I already ate 'dinner' when in reality, I ate it at a weird time!

I agree.....you need to see which one you like better (sounds like BYC) and also what is most important.....if you want to save money, then you need to think about that. If you want to focus more on the place, then think about that. Good luck!

I think you need to go with your gut feeling on this one. I see pros in switching, but there are also many cons as well. You need to do what you feel is best!
