A Really Nice Christmas Story
This should make everyone feel good this Christmas. My father came home last night and told us this story about a family having some hard times. The father has a job as a mechanic and the mother just got a job but won't be paid for at least 3 more weeks. They get paid biweekly and they hold the first check.
So they have 4 kids all with disabilities and they are about 2 months behind in their mortgage. We were able to get some toys and food baskets for the family. They still needed some financial help. The doctor that treats the family gave them about $500 to help out but they still needed the rest.
My father plays Santa for a bunch of events charity and personal. Last night he and my mother (Mrs. Clause) Went up to my Uncles restaurant all dressed and were having a bite to eat at the bar. Next to them was a couple who eats at this restaurant a few times a week and they all started talking and my dad told him about this family.
This couple was asking about this family and were very interested in the story. So the husband asks my dad how much he thinks they still need so my dad says about $1800.00. This wonderful man takes his wallet out of his pocket and proceeds to count out 18 $100 dollar bills and hands it to my dad. He said make sure this family doesn't lose their house.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but that's a Christmas miricale if I've ever heard one.
