My date is 10/4.

When do I mail my invites and what should my response date be?

I'd send them out in early August with a response date of 9/4. People are so annoying when it comes to responses!!!

Our response date was three weeks before the wedding and we got a 'verbal' response back from two different couples (one through anther couple! ) just days before the wedding. I would do it about a month before. Spetember 8th is labor day so I would do it about a week before that since people tend to go away for that last long summer weekend. JMO though.

we got married sept 27, sent them out july 27, response of august 27...this gave us time to call all tge people wh did no respond

My wedding is August 2 and I made my response June 21. Make the response 4-6 weeks before the wedding and send the invites out 4 1/2 - 5 weeks before the response date. People should have about a month to respond.

Plus don't forget that people do not send them on time. I wanted to leave some time for that until I had to start calling people - I didn't want to start right after the cut off date, that is why I made the response date 6 weeks before the wedding date.

The 2 weeks before the wedding you will be very busy setting up table charts and everthing else.
