A Response from Jerry Scotto - Fox Hollow Owner

It has been very interesting reading all the comments about Fox Hollow over the past few days. I thought I should answer everyone’s questions so that it would be clear as to what is actually happening.

There are Senior Citizens homes being built on the property west of Fox Hollow. The property is owned by the same company that owns the Fairhaven Apartments. They have owned the property for over 10 years. Their decision to build, although not my favorite, is their decision. As everyone knows, within 10-15 years almost 50% of the population will be over 50 years old, thus, there is a huge demand for such complexes. That is why the property owner is building the site. As a result of this construction, we have met with our neighbors and prepared a plan to plant more than 2 dozen 16 foot trees to buffer our garden from the adjacent property as well as putting curtains up in our ballroom that will block the view of the new site while giving our guests full view of our gardens.

Response to FH

One of the MAJOR reasons we booked FH was because of their reputation for excellance. When I asked friends, family and business partners, which halls would you recommend, their response was ALWAYS a rave review for any of the Scotto Brothers venues. Your regard for excellance is further exhibited by your above message. I am sorry that your first post to this site is in the vein of defending your honor and I look forward to future postings for your advice to the future brides. Thank you.

Response to FH

My family and I have always believed the Fox Hollow to be a top notch catering facility. We look forward to my brothers wedding there in Oct 2001. Mr. Scotto's posting was extremely professional and very appreciated. Kudos to The Fox Hollow for prompt attention to our worries.....

Hope this helps!

A Response from Jerry Scotto - Fox Hollow Owne

Jerry - well said! Although I am not having my wedding reception at your establishment, I have heard wonderful things about your facilities.

If you read the posts on this board of recent past, you'll also discover ill-informed posts on many other topics. Other vendors have been ripped apart based upon little substantial information. This page - which was once helpful - has turned into a horrific mess. Vendors - such as yourself - are being slammed with little to no information....brides are being slammed for voicing opinions OR are panicking because someone posts inflammatory information about a vendor they've hired without much back up......

Ever study sociology? In group dynamics, the collective intelligence level of a group is typically less that the individuals of that group when considered apart from the rest.

A Response from Jerry Scotto - Fox Hollow Owne

Although I am not having my reception at the Fox Hollow, I have a close friend, Gina, who worked for your facility for a long time. I have always heard good things about your facility. KUDOS for your response. How sad that you had to do that.

To the few that seem to be ruining for the rest of us:

I am sad to say that this board has hit quite a low point. Why can't people express their opinion without getting blasted? Then there are those of you totally bashing places without the proper information to do so. Now we have hall owners joining the list to defend their reputations!
