A review of my Spa Day at Maximus in westbury (thank you LIW)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For winning the 'Brides Gone Mild' contest a few months ago on LIW, I got a spa day at maximus in westbury (source mall) and I just wanted to write a little review about it b/c this place is amazing!! I had never been there before.
I was there for almost 4 hours and had the Water Journey, full body massage, mani & pedi. I am soooo tired right now b/c the whole day was just so relaxing.
Water Journey
I had the water journey with Melissa. I got to maximus at 12:30 and changed into my bathing suit and a robe. I waited in the beautiful waiting area for maybe 2 minutes and Melissa came to get me. She was such a sweetheart. First I got into a huge tub with hot water and lots of jets (I think it was 150 jets or something like that)! I sat in there for a while... and didn't want to ever get out. Then Melissa came back and I got out of the tub and onto a table where I got a full body exfoliation with salt. It's not the best feeling but you know it's getting all those dead layers of skin off... my skin is so soft now! After that I got rinsed off and headed into a sauna-type room and sat on a bench with my back facing these jets. They turn on the jets and then this waterfall comes down too and I sat in there for a few minutes. It was soooooooooo amazing!!!
Massage
My massage was next and I had it with Tina (Kim's sister!) and she is just so nice. She is just so sweet and so down to earth... and looks just like Kim!! She got all my knots out in my back and just gave such a relaxing massage.
Mani/Pedi
Typical mani/pedi... I forgot who I had it with, but she was nice.
So... i'm relaxed, my skin feels great and my nails & toes are pretty.
I am definitely getting some gift certificates for people for christimas and I'm asking DH to get me one.![]()
