A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside a yogurt container...

I eat yogurt. Frequently. It's because I'm on the calcium train. Anyway, I love, love, love the La Creme French Vanilla yogurt. I could eat a drum of it in one sitting. So could Mr Boots.

While grocery shopping, Mr Boots and I decided that our only course of action was to line our refrigerator with thousands of those cunning little cups of tastiness. Upon arriving at the yogurt section, Mr Boots spies La Creme French Vanilla with ... Chocolate Pieces!!

'Oh we're gettin' this,' he posits. I swiftly agree.

Later that day we decide to crack into our new taste treat. After one spoonful each it was obvious. This was not what we signed up for! The chocolate piece tasted a bit like confetti...papery and thin.

So how can the original french vanilla taste soooo good, while the french vanilla with chocolate pieces tastes like evil!!

Oh no, it was all pre-mixed! In an 8 ounce container no less! So now I've got this vat of nastiness sitting in my fridge!

I agree. I've tried the ones that have the little chocolate pellets. They tasted like....pellets.

It's entirely because you tried to pull one over on your body!!! You had something that was good for you and you thought it tasted great. Then you thought, what would make this even better? CHOCOLATE!!!

And your body said 'Uh-huh, Monkey girl, you can't have your cute shoes and wear them too and then expect them to NOT hurt your feet!!! I will tell your greedy taste buds that the chocolate tastes like crepe paper streamers and that, my dear, will teach you never try to pollute me again!!!!'

I'm not exactly sure why this happens..however..

It reminded me of my experience with Berry Burst Cheerios. While regular cheerios are my absolute favorite cereal, I decided to be a tad bit different and purchase a box of Berry Burst Cheerios. I like berries and i like cheerios.

Yeah, what i consumed was a hot cup of awful. The berries are not berries..they are slivers of red porous foam with the moisture sucked out of them-then coated with a terrible berry flavoring. Disgusting. So I can empathize.

In the end I learned a hard lesson..nothing beats the original!

Farah... chocolate makes everything better. What was in that yogurt was not chocolate it was grated antichrist!

Johnny&Maur, although I disagree with your hatred of Berry Burst Cheerios, WORD on the sentiment behind it! and also 'hot cup of awful,' made me PIMP!

Thank you for this post.

I am not lying or being sarcastic in the slightest when I say it made my day - how sad!!

I'm still laughing!!

Between 'posits', 'cunning little cups of tastiness', and 'tastes like evil' I was already PIMP, but add on 'hot cup of awful' and I moved right into maniacal laughter!!

MonkeyLuv, your posts are always a must read for me!!

Rock on girls!! Thanks for the laughs!!
