3 kids were killed on the Meadowbrook when their car flipped on the way to Lido Beach. My friends brother was friends with 2 of the people (21 years old) and the other one was someone's little sister (both sisters died).

Just found out one of the kids killed is FH's neighbor across the street and his sister was the driver.

NORTH MERRICK, New York (WABC) -- Authorities say three Long Island camp counselors for the disabled were killed in a one-car crash on their way to work.
The crash happened just before 9 a.m. The three dead are reportedly one man and two women. The women are said to be sisters. Two teenage girls were also transported to the hospital.
The counselors were driving on the Meadowbrook Parkway en route to Camp Anchor, a town-run seaside camp for about 600 adults and children with disabilities ranging from quadriplegia to autism to Down syndrome, said Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray. 'We are all devastated by this tragedy,' Murray said.

More: Get breaking news delivered! The camp is run by the town of Hempstead and only those campers who were able to handle the news, were told about the accident.
The car simply veering off the road, then slamming into a tree as investigators tried to figure out exactly why.
At least one of the counselors appeared to be thrown from the car. Their camp bags, sitting amidst the wreckage.
The six-week camp's name is an acronym for Answering the Needs of Citizens with Handicaps through Organized Recreation. It has one counselor for every camper, Murray said.
'As anybody who's ever come to Camp Anchor knows, the heart and soul of the camp are the young men and women who mostly volunteer and work with our campers,' Murray told reporters outside the facility. 'There is a very special bond that is life-enhancing both for the campers and the counselors.'

Me too!!! It's heart breaking! My friends told me the names of the people that died in this crash and I'm not sure if I know them...sounds familiar but I'd have to see their faces.
