A shorter QOTD! I aim to please.

Original post by Suzanner

Okay, I hear you, and it seems my QOTD was slightly too ambitious. So here’s a second one, for those of you who have better things to do than answer 20 questions for some stranger.

What is the one thing you are MOST freaking out about for your wedding?

Personally, it’s if the food blows. I would just freak. Also, if Aunt Flo shows up uninvited. Actually, this is probably #1, as I’d be beside myself. I’m already cutting it close. Finally, I’m freaking that the standard family drunks get so drunk they wind up in the Great South Bay. I don’t need any corpses.

I'm scared the most of being sick (both cold/viral and nervous stomach), having my period, getting pink eye, and looking like a wildebeast.

I'm scared for FH the he will have a massive allergy attack day of or in the preceding days that will still be in effect. Or that he gets himself so worked up that he brings it on emotionally.

And then the normal vendors not showing, things going wrong, BM getting blitzed and near the mic, etc.

I'm terrified of being a blubbering idiot during the ceremony because I know I'm gonna cry my eyes out...someone pass the xanax.

I look like some sort of blotchy wildebeest when i cry so I really need to BREATHE and try to avoid it. The priest was asking how to address my deceased father and I started to cry THERE. I'm so scared!

Also scared of not having enough food...someone told me they went to a wedding at the Atlantica and left starving and my place is owned by them...so i'm also scared of that.

OMG I didn't even see your post, what are the odds of two people saying wildebeast?

im also freaking about the food. Since my wedding is 100% vegetarian i fear that people will be upset about this. 90% of me says...suck it up, its one day and something thats very VERY important to me and FH. I know the food will be incredible...i just dont want to hear people grumbling that theres no steaks or lobster tail

That would bother me, sorry --but I'm a meatatarian. If I'm having vegetarian options at my wedding even though I'm not a veg, i would expect the mutual respect...

I mean, I get it, I'm just saying...

It's a lot different though because its not like meat eaters dont eat vegetables and starches and pasta, etc. As vegetarians we believe that eating meat is wrong and will not put a hold on our moral standards for a day so people can eat a steak at my wedding. Just saying.

I truly admire your ability to be a vegetarian. I love animals, however, I could NEVER do this. I really do appreciate what it takes to stick to this kind of thing. And it is YOUR day, and this is a perfect example of it. It's kind of like a Kosher wedding, I guess. If the couple keeps Kosher, they're not going to put out a bunch of shrimp, etc. As long as there's decent pasta, everyone should be fine. If they're coming to the wedding for the free steak and lobster, then who cares if they're happy anyway?

That being said, I would sneak in a beef jerky and not tell you.

Actually, out of respect, I'd eat it in my car.

Only kidding on both. I hate beef jerky, and I can't eat in my car, because my car is gross, and the last place anyone wants to eat.

My face blows up to twice it's normal size a few days before, and a few days during. Considering my head is already the size of a small planet, the facial bloat I could do without.

And EGGS ARE IT!!!!

I'm on two so far today!! How about you??? I'm all over the hard boiled.

I was like...gee thanks.

Are you doing vegan or just vegetarian?

I think I'd be ok with a vegetarian dinner, I love a good eggplant and pasta and salad and veggies and mozz and stuff, and if done right, even the meatiest of meat eaters shouldn't mind. But I can see maybe with a stricter vegan menu people getting antsy.

Now I want a portabella, ugh.

UTTERHAPPINESS- I know that we all have our own body issues, and if someone is not happy, I need to respect that.

HOWEVER, I just looked at some of your pics. You are GORGEOUS!!! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????

How's that for respecting someone's personal issues??

Seriously, please don't fall victim to the thinking that every bone has to show before you are perfect. You are SO thin, that it actually pains me that you have these feelings!! Don't let the MAN get to you (and by the MAN I mean TV, media, advertisers, loser guys, etc.). You are untouchable. You are a beautiful woman, and even though you may feel otherwise sometimes, and I have to respect that, I still respectfully disagree.

I am afraid of having a migraine the day of my wedding. Lately I have been getting them all of the time and nothing seems to help...not even the many prescription meds I have from my headache specialist.

I am afraid that I will be bankrupt and my vendors will call the police on me and then I will have to go to jail in my wedding dress .. . where they will give me wonder bread, bad macaroni and cheese and some unidentified meat product while FH dances with some ex-girlfriend at my wedding..

other than that. .. FH's father. .. saying too much drinking too much, forgetting FH's name in the toast

That I will be too nervous during the ceremony to really remember it clearly.

Well thats what I said when I was thinking about this outloud at my desk...its not like its inhumane to pull a carrot out of the ground.

But I do know people that don't eat veggies...esp people with tummy issues. You might have busy bathrooms One of my close guy friends has Crohns and most veggies bother him, plus hes fussy...

Any seafood?

And yes, are you having a cheese bonanza? I'm a cheese enthusiast and I can't wait to eat cheese when I go home tonight now, hahha

I'm a cheese enthusiast

I don't even know what to say to this. This is so beyond anything they have an emoticon for. Nothing is appropriate.

I suggest we immediately start some kind of cheese enthusiast league where we can get t-shirts that show the world who we are. I feel like I'm already a lifetime member.

Thank you for giving my life's passion a name.

Hello, my name is Suzanne. And I'm a cheese enthusiast too.

I love you now. It will never go away.

Lately, money. And not that we won't have enough because I feel like that's all our money is going toward, that's more it. I feel like we can't have anything else besides a wedding this year. So, I didnt exactly answer the question but this is my wedding related freak out.
