A Tale of Two Dresses

A Tale of Two Dresses

Ok so MAYBE I overreacted. MAYBE I had no faith. MAYBE I should have listened to the 32% of you who said to wait until after alterations.... but with 10 days to go I went for the final fitting for the original dress I bought. You know, the one that was ordered as a size 16 but I am wearing size 4 jeans? Yeah, THAT one.

Well, the seamstress pulled a hail Mary out of her azz & guess what... the dress isn't half bad. It fits. There is still too much fabric on the bottom half but the bodice fit! Of course the veil for it still isn't in, so that shoppe isn't COMPLETELY off the hook yet.

So now I have 2 dresses! Now sure what I'll do. I may wear them both. I may just wear one. We'll just have to see!!!

Do you have pics from your fitting? I'm sure it's going to turn out great - but you'll look good in either dress. Good luck with your decision!

Your daughter is beautiful, btw!!

Thank you. She's so cute. She's my maid of honor

I didn't bring my camera to the fitting b/c I figured it was going to look awful. I wasn't even going to go! FH kept saying 'why are you going to drive an hour each way for a dress you hate? Tell them to ship it.'

My OTHER dress is getting the bustle done was we speak & will be ready for pick up tomorrow.

Well that's a much better problem than having two dresses you don't like. You can certainly wear one for the ceremony and the other for the reception. I can't wait to see pics!

And you're baby girl is so incredibly precious. What a perfect Maid of Honor. Not sure they'll let her sign the marriage license though hehe

Pictures in my albums:
the first one is a Paloma Blanca, style 3606,color 'natural'. It was a size 16 but it has been hacked down to fit me.

The new one is a Melissa Sweet, style Carmen, size 8, color ivory

Both are absolutely beautiful, so you really can't go wrong with either one you choose. (edited for typo's)
