a tip on swelling.

a tip on swelling.

I am just posting this to help any big piggie feets in the future who search swelling.

You guys know I was having a helluva time with this over the past few weeks. Well in addition to doubling my water intake - YUCK - but it does help...I found the real trick is a nice slip on shoe. Which in the Summer is easy to come by in a cheap flip flop -but I kept shoving myself into shoes that weren't fitting for the Fall, and even some boots for the colder days. Not good. I had even gone out and bought size sevens in shoes with a strap that were nice, (I am originally only a size 5.5) but was still DYING by the end of the day.

Well, it took a nice man with eyeliner and blush at Saks yesterday to say the following:

'Sweetie - you need eights. I hate to say it, but why put your little piggies through this. You are going to need something big, something waterproof, something flat and something fuzzy. I left with a nice warm pair of fuzzy clog shoes...yes expensive Stuart Weitzman (I know you are laughing right now Michele, because of COURSE this turned into a spending spree story), but I cannot TELL you how much better I feel!

The swelling in my ankles is still there but so much less and I feel 100 times better. So to all you swellers - it's in our nature and the water will only help so much. As soon as you see it change your shoes - and expect for a couple of sizes up - dont' be modest!!!!

Re: a tip on swelling.

I just this week got a tad of swelling in my feet and ankles. I have been blessed with a non-swelling pregnancy Jenny. But I drink a lot of water so that could have helped me a lot.

I LOVE shoes!! I never feel fat when buying shoes...post a photo.
