A very special present

My grandfather's sister (who is 89), my Great Aunt Audrey, lives in Oregon. Her & I were pen pals when I was younger & even though I don't see her often, we have a special bond since I was young. Well, last night I get home & have two packages First one is from Crate & Barrel & it's out Chardonnay glasses from Aunt Audrey (all of them- YAY!!) and then in the second box is a GORGEOUS hand painted dish that she passed on to me from my Great Grandmother (her & my grandfather's mother) with a very special note. I cried when I opened it b/c things like this are just too special to me... These are the moments that I love about weddings & traditions...

that's so nice!! i love getting stuff from my grandparents etc. my aunt keeps hinting that I have stuff saved away; i can't wait to see what it is!

i'd be most excited about the dish also, but nice getting all your glasses!
