a week from hell

Well my FH called out yesterday because of his mom got worst and guess what he got fired today, his new boss what an *** no compassion at all...Great we have our engagement party in a couple of day and now im going to get stuck paying for it. Im so upset

Take a deep breath...I know its easier said then done, but try to keep positive thoughts, I've been reading 'The Secret' and its all about thinking positive will bring positive things your way. FH will find a better job, with a boss that isn't such a a$$ and with better hours. I was stressing out about the $ we were putting into the eparty and after all was said and done we actually got back what we paid and then some. Keep your head up!

Just breathe...everything will work out...How could he fire him for calling out one day? It's was a family emergency..FH can't fight it?

Your engagement party will be wonderful...your extremely stressed right now just relax before you have a nervous breakdown.

This has been a rough week. Just remember that its only temporary and things will get better.

it's illegal to fire someone for calling out one day. is he in a union? if so, have him call his union rep and get them on top of it... the best thing for them to do is fire him without reason, then you can get lots of money for wrongful action against an employee. :)

if hes not in a union, call the HR department and find out what the rules are about involuntary execution. It's definitely illegal to fire someone for missing one day of work.

wow Keri you are having bad luck again lately ... you sure its because he called out sick yesturday ... some people use thing as an excuse to do other things, and if it is the case then his boss is an a s s hole... Just relax lay down and try not to let your thoughts about the future overload in your head because you will get yourself sick. you cant change the past and its no use worrying about the future so take today as it comes.. and I hope things get better so you can party like a rock star at your e-party!!

No he did just call out sick b/c of his mom was in the hospital(but that is what myFh tells me). On Monday Paul has asked if he can leave early b/c of his mom was in the hospital his boss told him that he cant leave early. He just started this job like 2 weeks ago and i think tht his boss doesnt trust him and he thinks that Paul is lieing about his mom being in the hospital. Why would ou lie about someone being in the hospital? Im just so stress. He need to found a job ASAP!!!!!!!!!

thanks, he isnt in the union and it was like a father son company so there isnt any HR dept his boss does payroll. Also he would work 12-13 hour shift and only get paid for 8hours days. i cant wait to go to the labor broad about this one... and he can get some of his money back atleast.
