So we had a REALLY fun day !

My sis and the kids came out from Queens. We went to Port Jeff for a little bit. We went on the little paddleboat cruise. It was fun, nice breeze on the water, the kids LOVED it...
Then we went out to lunch at the Spare Rib in PJ. LOVE THAT PLACE !

At about 4pm they headed home..
My boys took me out to dinner...
I chose to try out the recommendation I got here:
Cafe Joelle, in Sayville.
It was on the late side (8pm) so most of the shops were closed, we didnt really get to admire and walk around the village. We plan to go back soon..

John had taken a look at the website for Cafe Joelle, and he said it looked like a small place, too small to bring in a stroller. He hates to be out of place or not follow rules (arent we opposite???

) Well we found parking right out front, and I peeked in and said 'I'll ask about the stroller'... So I asked the girl, and she said 'uhmm, you really cant, it will block our walkways...' and I was saying I didnt mind using a highchair but especially in the evening, I could picture JA getting restless and maybe wanting to lay back... so I had this face on

and she goes 'I'll be right back, I'll ask'..
So she comes back with the manager....
and My face was like

It was this guy I worked with over 5 years ago. We worked in the same Dept for over 3 years. in the city!! What a small world to bump into him in Sayville !!!!??!!!!!!!!! So from the stroller, it went to 'OH MY GOD, HOW ARE YOU ?? A BABY ?? YOU LIVE OUT HERE ???????' Long story short, I didnt bring in the stroller, I rotated between holding him a little and the highchair...
But it was TOOO FUNNY to bump into this guy, and chat and reminisce... His cousin is one of the owners/partners of Cafe Joelle and Pasta Pasta and he helps him manage there....
What a small world !!!!!!!!!!!!
