Aaaaargh! So irritated right now!!!!
So, since I live in Boston, I've delegated a ton of wedding-related tasks to my parents (and they've been AWESOME!
) They were in the process of booking our limos (ended up with Royalty) and while they were finalizing details, someone mentioned that there was a place right upstairs that does invitations (another one of my parents' 'jobs'...like I said, they're great!).
Well, my parents ended up meeting with Florence at Knot to be Forgotten, and finding invitations that fit exactly what I wanted (I had found invitations I loved at Crane's, but they were WAY too expensive and these were exactly like them). They sat down with her for an hour to finalize all the invitation wording/spelling, and even had the template I typed out and e-mailed to them. Well, the proof came back and there were mutliple mistakes...Ok, not really their fault, but still irritating since my parents were SOOO specific and reviewed the spelling a ton of times and Florence filled the paperwork out in cursive (script) instead of printing...which, duh, is a lot easier to read than someone's cursive.
So, we make all the corrections, and they send them in. We wait for ANOTHER proof. Well, my mom got a message on Tuesday of LAST week that our 2nd proof came in. My mom called first thing WEdnesday morning (she's a teacher so she was off for February break) and Florence told my mom that she would put the proof in the mail right away. Well, Saturday rolls around (mind you, Florence said she was putting the proof in the mail on WEDNESDAY) and the proof still has not arrived. My mom called on Saturday, spoke with someone named Rosemary, and explained that she hadn't yet received the proofs. Rosemary told my mother that Florence probably didn't put them in the mail until Thursday, and not to worry. So, my mom decided to sit tight until Monday.
Well...
The mail arrives on Monday...no proof
The mail arrives on Tuesday...no proof
(Now, it's been almost a week, so my mom decided to call back Tuesday night).
She called, and spoke with Rosemary again. Rosemary said that Florence was not in, but that was just about to call her. My mom gave her name and number and Rosemary assured my mother that she would have Florence call her back right away...
Well, it's Thursday now, and my mother STILL hasn't heard from anyone. She called back again tonight and got their machine (probably not there because of the snow).
I am so infuriated about this!!! My mother is absolutely the sweetest, most polite woman in the world, and I can't believe 1) How terrible the customer service is at KTBF and 2) How they could take such advantage of such a nice woman.
To make matters worse, they told my mother that it would take 4-6 weeks for the invitations to arrive (which was fine when my mother ordered them a MONTH ago). Now, we're still waiting on our second proof, and 6 weeks from now brings us to mid April...My calligrapher needs 2-3 weeks to finish all my envelopes (she does it part time), so we're cutting it really close if I want to send my invites out in the last week of April.
I'm sorry, I guess I just needed to vent...I honestly cannot believe how terrible the customer service has been thus far...Since they got our deposit, it's been nothing but problems and empty promise...Grrrrr.
Edited for Spelling...
