AAHHH!!!! I booked the wrong hotel for my vacation!!!

I am such an idiot!!!!

I am going to a wedding in PR in May. I made my reservations online. The flight is fine, but apparently there are two hotels by the same name. I am not staying at the hotel where the wedding is, rather at a hotel that is 10 minutes away which is ok, but not a beachfront property.

The hotel where the wedding is is double the amount that I am paying now. I cannot afford that. .

What do I do? Change to different hotel with beach front property? I am so mad!!

ot you have to spend xtra money for a car to get there

If you made the reservations through the hotels site you can cancel your reservations. If you made it with expedia or orbitz, you are stuck with what you have.

How important is beachfront to you? If it's very important switch to a hotel with it, if not go with a hotel with a nice pool area.

Beachfront property is not all that important to me, and even less to hubby. We will be there for 4 days only so we can sight see and stuff.

I am just so annoyed. We can take a 10 minute taxi ride to the hotel for the wedding.
It would have been nice to stay at the hotel of the wedding, but it is too much $$$ and the bride to be did not block rooms for a discount.

Is this the same wedding where no kids are invited and the Best man's family was begrudgingly allowed to come? If so, it figures she wouldn't block rooms with a discount. If not, I apologize for jumping to conclusions.

Don't worry about it. I would just stay at the hotel you already booked. Just think you will be all alone, and you wont have to see any of the people from the wedding...lol....

Old San Juan, in Isla Verde carolina, I booked the one in San Juan-

Are they both Wyndham Hotels? They are pretty close to each other; just a cab ride away!!!!

For 1/2 the price, I'd keep your reservation. We liked PR, you should have a nice time.

From what I hear a 10 minute cab ride.

The only difference is one is beachfront the other is not.

From what I remember Old San Juan hotel is beautiful and the area around it is gorgeous. I would rather stay in Old San Juan then Isla Verde.
