Sorry but i have to vent, I HATE Microsoft Excel , i just finished putting in all our addresses for the guest list (over 100 couples) and saved the file numerous times during the list and also when i completed it and guess what....... i just clicked out and went to go back in and opened the file and NOTHING was save !!!!! all that work for nothing im sooooo mad

oh boy...so sorry ...see if you can recover it..Not really sure how to do it but when I lost my thesis on word, I was able to recover...FH is out so I cannot ask him how...

first of all - chill.... :)
exit out of excel completely
reopen excel
click FILE
you should see a list of files that you have recently worked on. see if it's one of those...

A good idea if you're doing things in Excel is to back them up in google documents. It's free and they have an excel compatible spread sheet and the best thing is that it's available all the time and if you're working at wedding stuff at work (which I have NEVER done.......) you can access it there.
