? about bridal shower

can anyone give me any ideas for a shower where no presents will be opened. We need to find a theme or something to do in place of opening presents. Any ideas would be great.

Hmmm, well, the whole point of a bridal shower is to 'shower' the bride with gifts. So without gifts, it's just a regular ol' party. So make it a good one! Maybe something like 'high tea' would be fun for an afternoon out. Everyone could dress nice, and go to a hotel in Manhattan or somewhere else they do this, and drink tea and eat fancy little cakes and sandwiches. Or were you looking for something casual? Like a backyard barbecue? You could play lots of games then too, if that's why you're still calling it a 'shower' - traditional stuff like 'who knows the bride best' and 'toilet paper bridal gowns' etc.

I was in my friends wedding over the summer. She wanted a bridal shower where she didn't open any of the gifts. So on the invitation we asked that everyone wrapped their gifts in clear paper so that she could see them but not open them. We did pin the penis on the picture game, we did that game where you wrap someone in toilet paper to make a dress, we had a dj, and we got a stripper, yes at a bridal shower. it was a little crazy. basically it was a great big party. the place that we did it was a steak house in bohemia. all of her family and friends are big drinkers, so thats what we did.
