I've noticed a bunch of posts about disontinued items, mostly at BBB.
I guess now is a bad time to register? Will new things be coming out soon - is that why some things are getting discontinued?

I know bedding is being discontined a lot right now since all the new stuff comes out in Feb.
I don't know about anything else.

i haven't gotten any discontinuation notices recently but I did get a few at the beginning of the fall - so who knows...

a lot of new stuff comes out at the beginning of the year so they get rid of other stuff. we're gonna wait until like mid february to register

Yeah I think we'll do the same...hopefully my shower won't be too far off from there...April?

No things are always being discontinued. I want to say about 20% of my items have been discontinued since I registered 6 months back. I am just complaining because I really liked my towels!

when we registered at Macys & BBB, both places told us things get discontinued. (they didn't seem to have any additional info about it) we registered in April & Macys stopped selling 1 item that was on our registry. luckily BBB had it.

oh. If there's something you really really want and it's being discontinued check on amazon. Another seller might have it.

Yea last month my FSIL and I were talking to FH's aunt about when his cousins confirmation was going to be and FSIL said you'll have to let me know what date bc we'll have another big party to go to in april/may! And I was like huh? what big party? did Dave not tell me something again? and she said ummm your shower
No one is going to buy anything off of it until the shower anyway so I don't see the harm in waiting

when I registered I did not put towels or bedding on my registry because the told me that the new stuff come out in feb

All of my everyday glassware has been discontinued at Crate and Barrel...and that was the hardest thing for FH and I to decide on! Ugh - so back to the drawing board with that.
