When I went to put a deposit down to reserve my florist, I asked him about hydrangeas because I LOVE them! I really want to have some incorporated into my bouquets but he said that they wilt very quickly. Is anyone using them, or have an idea of another flower that looks similar?

So they didn't wilt at all? Did you have them in water?

No they were fine - I had them in water for a little while but not the whole time - i was able to keep them for 2 days
I am using them for my wedding- as a matter of fact the floriest suggiested it to me because i didnt want roses - for the tables and for me and my girls - one of my girlfirends also did and she didnt have a problem -

My florist said the same thing. He even took them out of the refridgerator and I saw them wilt before my eyes. I have voted against using them in my BK but will use them in the CP's

Re: About Flowers again......
we are using underdeveloped hydrangeas, so they will still be green. They didn't say anything about them wilting (but then again they aren't really flowers yet at that point) Sorry, that doesn't really help you much.

Re: About Flowers again......
I was just going to say that it really might depend on the color - you were looking to use pink right ....that could be why -

We had blue hydrangea CPs for our e-party. Not only did they last the entire day, but I kept them in their vases for an entire week!!

Well, I was planning on really having some pinkish flowers and some greenish hydrangeas. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to see.

Re: About Flowers again......
My sister had them in her Bridal Party's Boo-k and they wilted right after we got out of the ceremony... By the time we got to the Westbury Gardens for Pics, they looked horrible... I was told by my Florist that they need water....

Re: About Flowers again......
We had them as bo-ks at my SIL wedding and they were completely wilted long before the end of the night.
I think they need water, maybe they would work better as a CP than in a bo-k.
