?? about French Pedicures

I have never gotten one and really wanted to for our cruise next week but my sister said they don't last as long as a regular nailpolish and with the ocean water, it might chip before our cruise ends (9 days).
Does anyone get french done and does it not last as long as regular polish? I don't want to waste my money and then it will look bad.
Thanks!

you can never waste your money with a french!! they look beautiful - but i will agree - you will notice any chipping or any imperfects sooner than you would a regular color. (dark colors work the same way) my advice is just to get it. especially love it on your feet - so pretty.

though i will tell you that if you dont go w/ the french - stay away from light muted colors. they will often turn yellow from the sun anyway. so your mani could end up getting ruined that way.

anyway you look @ it a manicure lasts a week (if that long)- french or not.

good luck

Is there a difference between the french manicure and pedicure with chipping? I am not getting a manicure because it never lasts and I don't want to have to do my nails on the ship.

i dont think it chips any faster than a regular color - i think it is probably just more 'noticeable' when it does. but why dont you just get it and bring a top coat with you and try to add a coat once or twice while on vacay. it will help it to last longer.

I just think that white polish does not last as long and chips more easily. But I've had french pedis last nicely.

My pedis always last forever!!!!!! BUT I noticed on my Honeymoon that my toes chipped a little bit and became a little yellow in color.
