I see a Macy's furniture ad in today's Newsday and I really like the sofa/cocktail bench that they show in the picture.
Stupid question but will I be able to find out the brand of the furniture if I go to Macy's Furniture showroom? Do the sales people tell you? I want to see if it is also sold in N.Carolina. DH is going down there in August to see relatives and possibly go to the furniture showrooms down there.
Thanks Mary

Re: About furniture
Usually there are cards on the coffee table that lists the furnitur pieces and will sometimes have the names of the manufacturers. There might be something on a tag under the cushion or inside a drawer as well.

Re: About furniture
we bought our couch in macys...after extensive research on the company that made it...turns out they are a direct manufacturer for macys...do not sell to the public and do not have any warehouses/showrooms/etc... this could just be how it was for this particular couch and not all their merchandise...but that was our experience...

Same experience here. Many of the mfg's that sell at Macy's sell strictly to them or places like Crate and Barrel from what I also found in my research.
