About How Far In Advance

do you need to block hotel rooms? I was wondering especially since I'm getting married Memorial Day weekend.

my wedding is in June and i blocked it in June...you def should do it early since its memorial day weekend

I'm getting memorial day weekend. i blocked my rooms 2 months ago.

it doesn't cost you anything to do it. just do it now.

I would do it ASAP. Not only because it is a weekend, but a holiday weekend. You neve rknow what other events (weddings and community) will be going on as well. It happened that the Belmont Stakes was the weekend BEFORE my wedding and MANY hotels were completely booked MONTHS in advance!

I'd say within the 6-9 month range for 'warmer' months and holidays...ours was the weekend after the 4th and they were booked solid by our wedding...and at one hotel, when i went to block rooms [in january], they had a max. of 10 rooms you could block....and they only had 10 rooms left! so i'd go closer to the 9 month range than the 6.

I think you should check out different hotels and decide soon.

I looked at hotels in the middle of February and then picked one. That was 8 months before my wedding. I blocked rooms in Feb and sent out STDs. Many of my guests had their rooms booked before I sent out the invites.
