? about Interfaith Ceremony

Hi. I am Catholic and my fiance is Jewish. We are planning to have a ceremony with both a priest and a rabbi. I was wondering if anyone knows if a reformed rabbi will perform a wedding ceremony on a Saturday afternoon/early evening? Or is it necessary to have the ceremony after sundown? Also, can anyone reccommend a rabbi? Thanks.

I am also catholic and my FH is jewish. We are actually having an unitarian minister preform our ceremony. We did want at first to have both a priest and a rabbi, but we faced the same situation with the days. We also had to have our ceremony on a Sun. because my FH's family (not his immediate family) is very religious and would not come if it were on a Fri or Sat day/night. So the next problem was to find a priest that could do a ceremony on a sun. afternoon (we wanted an afternoon wedding so our guests don't have to worry about work the next day since the reception would be over at 6:00). All the priests I talked with said that they couldn't do it since their church services would interfear or would not allow for enough time to get to our ceremony. So, we opted for the unitarian minister.

I have seen ceremonies with both a priest and rabbi together, however they have been on a sun. night. Check around first. I just might not have found anyone who was willing and I also had the obsticle of my FH's family.
