? about Macy's return policy.

I received some items off my registry from my shower and I was wondering what Macy's policy is for returning things w/out a receipt.

I think if you don't have a receipt you get the lowest sale price on the item put onto a gift card. My advice is that if you can watch the item's price on line and wait until its not on sale, then return it so you get full price for it and can put it twds something else.

if the items were purchased off your registry then your registry is your receipt!

I used to work for macy*s. If it's from your registry it's no problem but if it's not you get the lowest selling price. Even if it's not on sale the day you return it, they can only give you the price it was when it was on sale.
So if it is $50 that day, it doesn't matter, they will still only give you $30 because at some point in time it was on sale for $30 (just an example)

i just went to return some things yesterday from my registry that I didn't have receipts for. they just looked up my registry in their computer and could see what the items sold for. they gave me a gift card for the total amount.
