About my annoying downstairs neighbor.

We have the most miserable people living underneath us. They are cranky and complain about everyone and everything. For a while they took to calling us in the middle of the night if they 'thought' they heard a noise coming from our apartment (we were sleeping for 2 of the calls).

They actually made so many complaints - the board of directors told them they are not allowed to complain anymore

They usually scowl at people in the building but recently started being friendly towards me - even when I saw them by the train. I thought it was weird but never thought too much about it.

Turns out they are renovating their bathroom. In order to do so they have to get everyone in our line to agree that it's ok with us to turn off the water. So now they need something from us - they are being super friendly (believe me saying Hi is super friendly after everything she has said about us).

The pres of the board told DH to stall about agreeing to the shut off. Of course we really don't care since we aren't home during the day.

Funny how when someone wants something they become nice

OH MY GOD
I use to have these neighbors that were so nice they were our age we did alot together they moved on to a nice house....
then these OLD MEAN ANGRY HATING LIFE people moved in we didnt get along. We would bicker to no end with them . About a month they MOVED to another apartment in the same complex. We were so happy. New people are moving in on the Nov 2nd after they get married they are our age THANK GOD.

Im sure that you could really stall them that the job would cost them so much but that would only be stooping to their childish level!! If having the water turned off during the day doesnt bother you then let them!! But the minute that they make another complaint..,then you have every right to ask to board to have them move!! LOL and give you the apt with the new bathroom!!!

It's actually the President of the Board that's being the jerk here - he told DH that he's making this couple to go to everyone personally to ask permission to do this work.

I am sure if we needed to do something like this, the board or the mgmt company would handle something like this.

As long as the water is only turned off between 9 & 5 there's no reason for us to be the @sshole! You never know, we may need something one day.

I think the whole thing is funny because just last week I was saying how Mr. & Mrs. Crankypants are being nice almost friendly and wondered what brought about this change
