How much you usually spend on your wedding Gown? Do I have to pay for the alteration? Let me know if you don't mine.

I am going to a bridal shop in Brooklyn where if your dress is over $1000, you get a free veil, headpiece, slip and alternations. I really do not want to spend that much but in the long run it might be worth it.

I got my dress for $600 with a matching stole. It was a cap of $150 for the alterations and $10 a bustle. I think I got a good deal and its a beautiful dress (of course)
But it depends on how fancy you want to get with the dress. Whatever your style is. Dresses can get really expensive.

You can spend as much as you want. You really just have to budget. The tag price (not what I spent) for my dress was almost $6K. And almost always, you have to pay for alterations and bustle.

paying for alterations and bustle is standard, the price of the dress varies greatly though.
I bought my dress as a sample (shhh don't tell anyone) and I saved almost half price!
I would say a minimum of like 700 or 800 in most places (unless you get lucky or are a really good shopper) but can go as high as 7000 or 8000!!! or even higher!
