? about playmats

i have a Baby Einstein playmat - I haven't taken it out of the box yet - is this something that is too advanced for Sophia at 6 weeks? Do I just lay her on her back under it = is that the idea? When do children really start to respond to all these things? Right now, she sees her mobile and recognizes it, follows things with her eyes, recognizes a rattle, etc. - I just dont' think she'd be into the playmat idea yet but want to make sure i am not depriving her of intellectual stimulation.

Try it she may like it. if it goes back in the box for a little longer no big deal

I took out Damien's step and play piano and everyone said he was to young.

He loves it and has since the day I put him in it so you never know

You can lay her on it so she can stare at the dangling things. Even if she seems like she's not into it, all of a sudden one day she will try to bat at one with her hand. Try putting her under it. You can prop her in the boppy so she can get a better view, I remember I use to do that with Lukie when he was so wittle.

I'm sure she's getting plenty of intellectual stimulation at 6 weeks though just absorbing the everyday sights and sounds so don't sweat it, you're doing great.

Molly just hangs out on hers and sometimes I hear the rattle shake
Try it, if she hates it bring it back to BRU. But I think she will enjoy it soon enough.
