? about price for wedding band - pic included

Hi -

I was out shopping around my office and came across this wedding band. It's on sale for $600 18K white gold, it's .53 carats.

What do you think? I'm clueless about jewelry prices. TIA

Hey, that is my wedding band. I love it.

I got mine at Fortunoffs. Mine is platinum with a little over 2 carats worth of diamonds. We paid about $2800. Definitely check out Fortunoffs. They have beautiful rings. And if you register there, you get a discount on the wedding bands.

Now that I look at the picture again, do the diamonds go all the way around like in an eternity? The ones at Fortunoffs do. Good Luck. I think it's beautiful!

Jenny, there was a store by Grand Central Station. They seem nice and all, but I just don't know if the price is fair...

Deedee, I don't have a pic of my e-ring, it's a family heirloom and I never got around to taking a pic of it.

I can't even describe it because I wouldn't do it justice.

Is your ring a filagrie setting? I think that ring would go with alot of different settings..Wow a family heirloom-thats really nice.

Jenny - the store lists it as an antique diamond wedding band, if you like that style, I think it's called milgrain.

deedee - my ring is a round stone (but it looks square because of the setting) with a milgrain diamond design on each side - the best way to describe the sides are:
football shape (like when it's on the point) attached to 2 stripes attached to a circle

Milgrain refers to the 'dots' all along the edge. Those small balls - that's what milgrain is.

I would check the quality of the diamonds - clarity etc. Some places put very poor quality so I would use that to see if it is good buy

Hi Donna,

I work near Grand Central Station... what store did you look in, I'm curious. What are the cross streets, Lex & 42nd?

I need to start shopping for my band as well. I imagine it will be difficult because I have the 'tiffany' setting type of solitare. Many bands won't 'fit' it.
