I always thought it was common for people to include a check or send a gift if there RSVP is no. I haven't had anyone do this yet.
What have you girls been noticing? Did people send gifts later on.. did they put it in the rsvp envelope or did they not do anything??
Have I been doing it wrong all this time?? lol

Re: About RSVP's ... random question
I received a couple of No's with nothing else inside. I honestly can care less whether they enclose money or not because I'm not going to spend on their plate.
I would be nice to get something, but if don;t is OK with me too.

Re: About RSVP's ... random question
Generally if I RSVP no to a party, I will send a gift once the time gets closer

Re: About RSVP's ... random question
etiquette says you're supposed to send a gift anyhow ... but most people won't.
i think i had about 40 no's and about 7 of them sent gifts.

Re: About RSVP's ... random question
We had about 60 no's and probably 10 gifts or so. People did send checks/gifts closer to the wedding or even after. We didn't receive a check with any no rsvp. They sent a separate card with check.

Re: About RSVP's ... random question
I know you are suppose to send a gift and I have rec'd a few gifts after the fact with a no, but nothing in the actual RSVP. it isn't a big deal to me either way- but just to let you know never in the actual NO envelope
