About the 'B - list'?

About the 'B - list'?

Who do you usually put on the B-list?

Can you put children of people you've already A listed? There are family members, like cousins of parents and their children who we'd love to invite...but we don't know if we can, so it would be great if we could invite the parents, who we defintiely need to invite and then B list the adult children of the cousins..but then they'd know they were B list so I can't do that right>

Who is it appropriate to b list? I feel like everyone is going to know they were B listed!

I don't plan on having a B list. I'm putting everyone on the initial invite and letting the RSVPs fall where they may. I agree, I would be too nervous about anyone knowing they were b-listed!

I did hear of one bride ordering two different RSVP dates.

I did 2 RSVPS!!!

I don't even think we are going to get to the b-list because NO ONE HAS RESPONDED NO YET!! they are due Wednesday, and we need to get some major no's before we get to it.

As far as who to invite, my FMIL kinda screwed us by telling 4 people on the b-list that their invite got stuck at the printer, so we had to send them an a-list invite.....

Jennifer I don't think you could B list relatives when other members of the same family will be getting their invites sooner. The whole point of A and B lists is to send out your invites to the 'must attend' people early (usually like 3 months in advance) with one RSVP date...once those responses start coming in and you start getting no's you send out a second batch usually with a different RSVP date to your 'would like to attend if space permits' people. But they can't find out that they weren't 'must attend' for risk of being offended.

So in this case...I think it would backfire and you and your FH don't need any more drama.

A solution is somewhere...I hope you can comoe up with a good one.

I did two different RSVP dates. We have a lot of OOTowners, and all of their invites, as well as family, went out on the first round. When all of the responses came back in, we sent out round two, which included all our friends and B-listers that we could then invite from the amount of no's we got on the family round. That way, no one knew they were B-listed.
I honestly don't think you could B-list people in the same family though!
