I am so dangerously teetering on the edge right now.
Why do people feel the need to comment about everything I put into my mouth? Like seriously, why???
Office birthday today, so we had a cake. Not like the budget cake that I got last week, but a good, guilty cake, because they actually forgot his birthday yesterday haha. So I'm eating my cake, and someone says oh we should have birthdays for former employees too, just to have more cake.
So the bookkeeper, who also happens to be the boss' wife, says we can't have any more cake, Ali can't eat any more cake, she has a wedding coming up!
So I start shaking my head vigorously through my mouthful of canolli, and she's like what, you just want to keep eating cake? So I start shaking my head yes, mouth still full. So then she goes 'You're not going to fit in your dress'
OK, back this train up. I'm no where near the realm of not fitting in anything. Given the deadline stress I've been under, I kind of just snapped and said, in that calm, scary tone 'My dress is actually big on me right now.' That shut her up.
But for real? Can everyone just back the frig off of me? I'm practically UNDERweight, and I have everyone on my case if I eat a saltine. It's like they're trying to give me a complex.

Ali, don't listen to them. They are being idiots. I have seen pics of you and you my friend DO NOT need a diet- you are perfect the way you are! I don't know why they would comment if you are eating cake. Fricken bastids.

In a weird way, I think people say that to pump you about the wedding. I don't think they are actually suggesting you lose weight. I know it is a rude thing to say but I don't think people realize it when they are saying it. It doesn't bother me much (occassionally) but I do understand how you feel because I get that angry at the kids question because thats nobody's freaking busines.

Ugh I have the same issue at work.. except that 95% of the time I DON'T eat the cake and then they're like, 'Of course not, Kristen never eats anything,' but then the few times I do eat it everyone's like, 'Remember your dress!'

but then again I wouldn't fit into my dress if i did that!

I had the same thing happen to me! I had a 1/4 of a donut yesterday (Fat Tuesday) and someone actually yelled at me about not fitting into my dress! ***? So I just said - 'it's ok - I'm down 8 pounds'. They just said oh - walked away.
