Absolute Rave!! Make-up

I am a make-up fanatic. I have had six make-up trials with the supposedly best make-up artists in the city. Unfortunately, I kept paying all of this money for trials to end up being majorly disappointed.

Finally, I found someone who did my make-up perfectly. Her name is Jill Harth (718) 279-3124. Her prices are consistent with the other make-up artists on this site. She really spent time working with me and trying to determine what kind of look I wanted. I was very happy with the results. She actually is going to stay with me for a large part of the day (until the reception begins). She also is going to stay with the photographer and me to make sure that I will photograph well.

I am really really happy. I had a very difficult time finding someone that I am happy with. So if anyone needs someone, fm me and I will give you more information.

Congrats!! I also had a little bit of a hard time finding the right make-up person... went through three trials and like you said, spent alot of money! So I know how happy you must be.

Does she do airbrush?

She does do airbrush. Honestly, I had airbrushing done and I was not crazy about it. I think a good foundation application looks a lot better. It gives you a more dewey look. Airbrushing makes your skin look dry imo. But she will do it.

What make-up artists did you previously do trials with?

I used Stephanie Barr who is the make-up artist for WB news show and listed as the top in NY Magazine Weddings Guide. I consulted with Matthew Nigel who was Jessica Simpson's make-up artist but he was too crazy for me. I used Steven from Nubest who I really liked but I would have to go to the salon and I did not want to do that. I used Michelle from Laura Mercier who has an amazing personality but I did not like anything about the make-up she used. I also used someone from Dante Fleres but I can't remember her name. She did my eyes way too dark. I also had an appointment with Laura Geller from NYC, she is supposedly one of the best bridal make-up artists but I ended up cancelling it because the look was not what I was going for.
