they lost the first leg of the Champions League semifinal to Barcalona AT HOME!
I know right now my fh is DISTRAUGHT and DEPRESSED..and now will be freaking out unti lthe second leg in Barcalona next week.
I know most of you would be like 'who cares' but that's the thing about soccer (futbol, calcio) fans...we are NUTS about our teams, and they impact every area of life!
this could NOT have happened at a worse time! I am so upset!

No, believe me I totally understand. I live in the same town that The University of Notre Dame is located and we are all HUGE ND fans!! Well the day we get married we play Michigan State...and if we loose it will be horrible. Michigan State is one of the two teams we lost to last year

I completeyly agree! And lexi lalas is now going to the galaxy which screws my nonprofit -- we are having a huge charity soccer tournament and we were tryin to have the MetroStars be a part of it. So much for that.

no we're both sicilian lol neither of us has been to a game in Italy (it's my dream!!!) but we did see Juventus here 3 years ago at Giants Stadium when they played Milan - its funny because FH and me met about a month after the game and we were both in the same place at the same time without even knowing

I've been to a few games in Italia...I plan to go again in Nov/Dec. It is so much fun. we went to the derby in Milan in December...it was awesome! I try to go when they are here too, but it's just not the same...a warning though...once you go to a game in Italy, you are SPOILED for LIFE!
