Can I make a different suggestion? I found the christmas store, treasure island, to have a really good selection. Otherwise, I prefer michaels.

ACMoore is MUCH better than Michaels. I won't buy yarn at Michaels anymore.
Treasure Island is also good.

(personally I prefer elann.com, ebay, herrschners.com or patternworks.com)

On glen cove road in carle place... same shopping center area where the Davids Bridal is.
