Thanks!! We go today at 4:30 to do the whole binder thing. I hope the engineer doesn't find a lot of things wrong with it....

ss2002...believe me no one knows that better than me. We actually spent a lot more than we planned on, but I heard that is very comon.

My advice: get a house with an apartment, this way you can up your price a bit from your original limit. you can always get rid of the tenant after the first couple of years..

That's EXACTLY what DH what's to do! Two of his brothers bought homes w/apartments (one in N. Babylon!) and strongly recommended doing the same. The rent they collected each month was about half of their mortgage.
