Accessories

O.K. I got my dress, and veil now I need shoes and Jewery, I found the perfect shoes in a bridal shop and they were 250.00 and I refuse to pay that much. Does anyone know where to find a good selection of shoes, that aren't that expensive. I also am looking for costume jewlery as well. I wanted real stuff to keep for a long time but I gave up on that idea since everything I pick out is over 3,000. and I rather have a living room set than a pretty necklace. If you have any suggestions please let me know

Christine, I got my shoes at Craft Shoes in Commack and I love them. They have a wide selection of inexpensive wedding shoes. For accessories, I know some of my friends have gone to Lord & Taylor and found gorgeous crystal/costume jewelry.

Accessories - shoes

I found a big selection at Craft Shoes in Commack but ended up getting mine at Hazel's on Bell Boulevard in Bayside where they also had a good selection. Mine are embroidered silk flats by Dorani and I saw them listed in a catelog here in Boston at $150 but only paid $90.00 at Hazel's.

Accessories -Christine no help but I can relate

I have my shoes - my sister paid about $300 for hers too... so I'm borrowing them. But Jewerly... I would like to pay to borrow something so if you find out anything please let me know... I'd rather pay to borrow something really fabulous than spend all this money on something that likely I woun't get a lot of use out of.

Jewelry

I'm not sure if you have a family jeweler, or someone you know who is a jeweler, but a lot of times if you have a good working relationship w/ them they will lend you pieces of jewelry for the day. I have a wedding this Friday and that is what the bride is doing. Her jewler is lending her a diamond necklace and matching earings. It's worth a try!
