Anyone have this? If so, what over the counter meds would you recommend?

Re: Acid Reflux
I was just diagnosed with this, and I was prescribed Nexium..
I've only been taking it for about 4 days and havent' seen a huge improvement yet.. but i was told to give it about a week and really watch my diet, and it should eventually do the trick
I think my case got SO bad before I sought medical treatment that it might take a little longer before it is resolved

Re: Acid Reflux
I have it and take Aciphex, but I hate taking meds. i stopped and if I get heartburn I take pepcid AC and it works well for me. but like said before you take it after you have the pain, stinks I know, but at least it works. Good Luck!

I take Nexium too, but it takes a while for it to work on me. Now, I've learned to take zantac BEFORE I eat something I know will bother me.

Re: Acid Reflux
I had a very minor case of Acid Reflex, but I was prescriped Nexium and Monoclopramide, because the Nexium used to upset my stomach. Well both medicines helped me and I no longer have to take either.
My friend and his girlfriend take Nexium and Prevacid. The doctor told my friend to switch off taking the Prevacid and the Nexium....for his Acid Reflux...He gives him samples to take. Scott

Re: Acid Reflux
If the problem persists, you really should get to the dr. If you suffer from persistant acid reflux you can do some serious damage! The acid eats away at the lining of your esophogus which can lead to esophogial cancer. Bother of my dad's brothers passed away from this in their 50's
