Ack!!! HUGE leak this morning that just missed my dress!

OK, As if I am not concerned enough about my family flying to Italy in a torrential downpour, early this morning FH and I are woken up by not a trickle, not a leak, but a FAUCET of water coming out of our bedroom ceiling!!!

RIGHT OVER WHERE MY WEDDING DRESS WAS HANGING!!!!

Both of us didn't have our contacts in yet (of course) but I leaped over the bed to rescue the dress LOL Luckily it is wrapped and made it thru unscathed. The faucet has subsided a bit but our super is on his way.

Oh my God!!!! Glad you woke up in time to catch that. FI's friend has a flood in his place right now - basement apt though.

That is a good save. Do you have upstairs neigbors who had a leak?

I had a a similar freaky thing happen to my dress. My apartment was robebd a couple of weeks ago. The police came and fingerprinted so their was that fingerprint dust everywhere. I thought I had cleaned it all up. When I took out my wedding dress to check on it I accidentally got some of that stuff all over it. UGHHHH! I took it to the dry cleaning lady and felt like such a derelict trying to explain what it was on my dress and why the police were dusting me for prints...LOL.
Except she doesn't think it will come out. I don't know whether to cry or laugh because I just want this all to be over.

I'm glad everything was OK though. Congrats and have fun!!

OMG I hope your dress is OK, but that is a hilarious story!!!
