So I got my nails done for a wedding last week and again realized how much I love having a french manicure. I was going to get gel done for the wedding so my nails look good through the HM. I'm thinking I may just want to get it done now. My only concern is that I have very healthy and strong nails, and I really don't want to mess them up forever...
Thoughts/Advice??

i would just get weekly manicures from now until the wedding and then get the gels if you want to for the wedding! that will keep them strong... i definitely wouldn't put them on now and keep them until after the wedding bc your nails will be soooo weak when you take them off!
ETA if your nails are the length you want them when it comes time for the wedding you could always just get that permanent nail color that's kinda like a gel i guess you would say

I have very strong nails (a benefit of BCP) so my manicurist suggested that I do weekly manicures. Thats what I have been doing since January.
The acrylic is no good for your nails, it really destroys them & its only not great to be breathing that stuff in all the time.

I use the UV gel all the time. And underneath the gel my nails are very healthy. The only thing that ever damaged my nails were acrylics.

Acrylics really do weaken the nails. I have such weak nails to begin with that I just get french manicures for special events a few days.

i've done the uv gel and it looks nice. I didnt have any nail damage either.

There is a new thing out. It is Gel Polish. If you have really strong healthy nails that is all you need. It looks the same but does not damage your nails at all and lasts 2 - 3 weeks. I love love love it. Got it done 3 weeks ago and never chipped or anything. And it only cost $28 in my nail place.

LCN are light concept nails. They use UV light to set the nail that they sculpt for you. The nails look delicious!

IMO you should get manicures and get gel done for your wedding, it makes a difference in your pictures.

Yeah I would do this - I know people who have gotten it and is well worth it for how long it lasts
I got gel french nails for my wedding - I like them but the were 45 bucks everyt time you go which to me is much too costly IMO
