Activites/Excursions in French Polynesia

I just booked my honeymoon to the French Polynesian islands yesterday! I'm so excited! I will be there from July 10th to the 18th at the Moorea Pearl Resort and the Le Meridien Bora Bora. I booked through Liberty Travel and they offer a honeymoon registry. I've been surfing the net all morning/afternoon trying to find activities to do at Moorea and Bora Bora so i can put it on the registry.

Past brides that have been there....HELP~! Can you recommend activities to do and how much they cost?
Can you also let me know the cost of the following if you did them?:
Shark and Stingray swim
Jeep Tour
Car rental
Couples massage
Parasailing
Canoe breakfast

Thank you! if there is another post like this can you bump it for me? I've looked through so many French Polynesia/Tahiti/Bora Bora posts~!

This is what we did:

Moorea:
Hiro's Ray and Shark feeding
Albert's Jeep Safari
Couples massage

Bora Bora:
Aqua Safari
Canoe breakfast

We would have liked to do the jet ski tour at Bora Bora, but the water was too choppy. I would not recommend booking anything in advance. We booked everything when we arrived at the hotel... they will tell you what is available and if there are any cancellations. Some excursions require other couples and some get filled up.

Have a wonderful time - I WANT TO GO BACK!!!

This is what we did:

On Moorea- alberts jeep safari tour- that was awesome.
We rented scooters twice and rode the entire island. that was a lot of fun

on Bora Bora
we did the jet ski/atv tour, that was fun but we did it in the rain. great way to see the whole island though. and they taught us how to eat/cut a coconut
we also did the sunset cruise which was amazing.

You are going to bora bora during Heiva. it lasts all through the month of July. it is a festival of sorts. We went during heiva last year.

make sure you go one night.. you will go to the main island of bora bora and watch a show and than you can play games with the islanders. it was actually very cultural. The Le Meridien can set this up for you.

and i agree with the above poster, wait until u get there to book everything!

We stayed at the Le Meridien Bora Bora it was amazing!
I recommend the Shark and Stingray swim. It was so much fun and beautiful!

By the way, I also recommend you eat at Le Villa Mahana on the main island of Bora Bora. It was soooo romantic!!

Thank you for all the info~! I am definitely making reservations to Villa Mahana. Did anyone go to Bloody Mary's? Did you make reservations for that?

If anyone doesn't mind....can you please post prices or estimates for the activities?

Def make a res way in advance for Villa Mahana! Just be aware that the 'best table', although ultra-romantic, is outside. When we were there, we shared our beautiful meal in the company of bugs and lizards! I have a super-aversion to bugs, so I wish we sat in the single table indoors upstairs.

You can make a res at Bloody Mary's when you get there.

Here is a pic of Villa Mahana.

bloody marys' i think the bill was like 120 us dollars- we had 2 drinks each, appetizer, main meal and dessert.. well worth it!

the sunset cruise i think was 75 a couple usd

the jeep excursion i think was 100 or 125 a couple.

the massages are expensive, but worth every penny. i'm talking like 150 for a half hour, but so worth it!

expect to spend at least 100 on every dinner when u go..
if u are in moorea- make sure u have the pizza from alto pizza. soo good.. and when in moorea make sure u go to alfredos.. SO YUMMY

Aqua safari is the closest I will ever get to scuba. You wear air pressurized helmets and the air tank stays on the boat. You walk along the bottom of the lagoon, about 20 ft deep, for about a 1/2 hour. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. Link to picks in my review.
