Actual jobs...

Q:
How many of you have graduated college with a certain major and ended working in a totally different field? If so, what was ur major and what are you doing now?
Im just curious.

I graduated college with a BA in english lit.
(back in '95....yikes!). I originally wanted to be an english teacher.
Now, I have a career selling advertising for a major magazine.
Not directly related at all.

In school I was a Biology major..

But I work in accounting field

even I dont know how I ended up there..

I have a BA in Psychology, originally wanted to be a Forensic Psychologist

I'm a banker now.

I always found it amazing how some people graduate in one field and then get a job in something completely different

I got my bachelors in psychology and my masters in school counseling last May and now I am a bookkeeper. This is not what I want to be doing...I picked something that is impossible to find a job in since it's so saturated. I am thinking of taking a different career path if I don't find anything this next school year either.

I have a BS in Psychology and am in Marketing now. Thank god I made the switch before I went to grad school because I absolutely love it.

My BA is in Communications, graduated the spring after 911 so jobs were at a minimum. I worked for 2 years in the mortgage biz then was accepted into the teaching fellows program. I just finished my masters and this is my third year teaching!!

I graduated with a BA in Marketing and ended up in Human Resources. I took whatever I could find when I got out of school and am still there.

i graduated with a speech pathology major and now i'm a phys ed teacher. went back to school for teaching and thank god i did cause i'm much happier doing this.

I just graduated with my BA in speech pathology...why didnt you continue with speech?
